What to Expect?

Whether you first seek chiropractic care to relieve pain symptoms or for wellness care, a visit to The One Chiro will help you in achieving optimal health. But what exactly takes place during your visit as a new patient? Read on to find out.

First Visit

The consultation time will be longer during your first visit. A thorough approach ensures that you will be provided with the highest standard of chiropractic care.

Prior to consultation:

Upon entering the clinic, you are required to fill in our patient forms. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment. If you have your spinal x-ray taken before, bring it with you.

After completing the form, our chiropractors will be ready to see you.

During our consultation:

History taking on your presented condition will be done in the first place. You may be asked to put on a patient gown prior to assessments.

Thorough assessments will be done, including postural assessment, orthopaedic and neurological. Chiropractic testing of your spine and related body parts will be performed. If a spinal x-ray is needed to complete our assessment, you will be referred to one of the local radiology centres.

Your examination findings will then be explained to you in plain English or other languages such as Mandarin, Cantonese or Hokkien, giving you information and options available regarding your care and your health. Then, the treatment will be given if it is suitable.

Regular Visits

A typical regular visit may require just 15 to 20 minutes. It is a misconception to think that the shortness of a regular visit reduces its value!

With the foundation laid during your initial visits, we can quickly assess the requirements of your spine and nervous system, adjust you and get you on your way.

We are aware that your time is valuable. We do everything possible to run on time and to minimise the impact on your busy life. It is just like a regular workout at the gym, each visit builds on the ones before. Miss a visit and you will often lose the momentum necessary to make the changes you’re looking for.
